Most of my life, my art has came second, third, or fourth, or even last to all the other things in my life. Mid 2024, I decided to try to create 5 out of 7 days a week. From that practice comes most of this art. Most of my life, I run a tight ship. My art practice allows me to feel freedom and play. It allows my mind to go somewhere else and be within the colors and strokes of the artwork.
I have a painting and art history undergrad degree from Hanover College. In my real life over the past twenty years, I have taught art history at a local community college. Frankenthaler and Kandinsky are two artists who I seek out. Their artworks remind me to work my life out with the freedom of the brush.
